phones, PDAs), internet publishing and e-commerce.

Development of customized solutions

Sometimes it is more convenient to develop a customized solution instead of implementing a modular product; we are ready to create services in a form of supplying a specific turn-key solution, including the connections to the existing client's systems.

During the development, we abide by the United process (UP) standard methodology, from the analysis perspective, we follow the UML standard (Unified Modelling Language).

Blue Pixel has its own testing department in the scope of automated UNIT tests of middle layer operations, exercise tests, functionality tests, safety tests and ergonomic tests of the user interface. We use a wide variety of tools chosen according to a specific use, starting with the tools itself all the way to the Mercury system.

Implementation

Sometimes is more suitable and efficient to implement the already prepared, standardized solutions. We have many of our own applications, from a strong internet publishing tool and e-commerce, reservation systems to tools for support of demands and selection proceedings. We are ready to implement some software solutions of third parties.

Outsourcing

In specific cases, we work for clients based on an outsourcing contract. This regards all of the key activities of the realization of the project – from analysis, to development in the supported technologies to testing and training. A separate chapter is the outsourcing of a project manager for leadership of someone else's teams. We also provide server hosting and web hosting services, IT administration and technical supervision.

Within the realization of the projects, Blue Pixel Solutions brings to its clients the following services:

Consulting services

Together with our customer, we evaluate the problem; we define the goals and criteria of their meeting. Within the consultations, we’ll prepare a gross proposal of the problem solution and a basic functional scheme. If possible, we build on the existing infrastructure and we try to maximally use the existing software systems of the client.

Analysis

An important part of our services is a detailed analysis of solution, for which we use the record according to the UML standard. We also define precise technology requirements and we determine a final price of the entire solution. We focus on our ability to propose to our client a solution with the most convenient ratio price/performance in concurrence to the situation in the market and expected trends. We are able to provide to our clients a process analysis and related proposal of optimization of processes.

Project management

Project management has a crucial role in the success of the entire realization. It is responsible for the correct course of the project according to pre-determined plans, maintaining the budget, and terms and quality of processing. The Blue Pixel Solutions’ employees ensures our project management will work with the clients during the completion of the job (regular check days, ensuring change control, client’s questions, etc.) also for fast solutions of potential requests and defects. With our project managers, projects are always under control.

Development of solutions

Blue Pixel Solutions has experienced specialists for the Microsoft (ASP.NET) technologies but also for PHP, Python and J2EE, in mobile field J2ME, Windows Mobile and S60 (Symbian). From the database technologies, we select according to the implementation Microsoft SQL, Oracle or MySQL. We have experience with a wide variety of application types, including the realization of the solution optimized for heavy load.

Testing

Blue Pixel has its own testing department in scope with automated UNIT tests, functionality tests, performance tests, safety tests and tests of usability.

Solution support

Our work and life cycle of the job does not end with the successful realization of the solution. The selected team of the Blue Pixel Solutions’ employees is responsible for the support of the solution even after the application has been launched into operation.

Training

An automatic part of our project is the final training of the customer, so he/she can immediately and with maximum efficiency use our work. We do not limit ourselves to simple trainings after completion of the implementation; we offer specialized trainings for applications of third parties or customized trainings for a specific demand. We cooperate with trained lectors, we have our own training facility; we are also able to provide training at the customer's facility. We always put the emphasis on the practical side of a matter.
